Christine started ballet dancing in kindergarten and was hooked before her first recital. (She still has the bumble bee costume!) She continued ballet as a child before taking a break in high school to perform on stage in dramatic theater productions and running crew backstage.
She pursued an interest in ballroom dance in college, learning the basics of a variety of styles at the club meetings and socials, later choreographing the first dance for her wedding. She returned to ballet lessons and recitals as an adult student, adding tap and jazz into the mix. She has also enjoyed country line and partner dancing for many years.
Christine has been a part of The Dance Corner both as a student and class assistant. Her other interests include sewing, baking, summer vacation pool time, and family events with her husband and two children. She has taught religious education classes for preschoolers and was a Girl Scout leader for Daisy and Brownie troops.
She is thrilled to be sharing her enthusiasm for dancing with the younger generation. "TDC is a friendly, fun, and welcoming studio where dancers of all levels are supported and encouraged. I love those 'a ha!' moments where students understand something new!"
